(To be continued.) (This story started here. I like to think that it’s going to end sometime.)
UPDATE (OF WISDOM)
Zhuangzi said, “I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man.”
Combs said, “Monday’s comic is behind schedule.”
No! Not the party hat division! :'(
Lest we forget.
Holy Crap! I’m Dan too! also i bought my rocket sauce in bulk because a taco read my future and told me to. Thank surf rat for taco’s!
I love the one guy in the party hat division who’s smiling
God help us all if the Fez Division fails.
Rocket sauce is one of my favorite phrases, did it come from Tenacious D or is it older?
Seppuku mortar is some kinda sea creature’s doppelganger, I love that.
Marrow: Truly, they are our bravest men in our pointiest hats.
Dan: No reason not to buy rocket sauce in bulk — it’s not like you’re not going to use it!
Justin: He was actually drawn to sort of be holding back vomit — like )–( — (hence his clutching his stomach), but I guess I drew it too small, because when I resized the comic (I scan them about 3x larger) it turned into a smile. Kinda funny that way, though.
Joe: Given the tendency for readers to interpret my fezzes as sticks of dynamite, the Fez Division might have a hard time even making it to the front.
ColdFusion: I didn’t know of any rocket sauce prior to last week, when I came up with it as an album title for an imaginary band called Dead Bitch Rocket.
Also, I was afraid Seppuku Mortar would look like he had a dorsal fin; that’s why I colored his body grey. That fin-thing is supposed to be his other arm, ’cause it takes two to seppuku. Lots of drawing mistakes today, it seems.
It’s okay, I noticed it was his arm. (perils of stick figure drawing eh?) the only confusion is the line where he cut himself.. apparently he was carving a 7 into his metal self.. so it looks a bit like another arm.
Yeah, I’m no seppuku expert or anything, but I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be sort of a Z-shaped motion, so I drew it halfway complete. Would’ve come across clearer if the Z was in blood, but the notion of a mortar shell bleeding is just silly.
I feel bad for the plague doctors that don’t have anyone to play catch with.
That’s precisely what I was thinking.. ‘it didn’t bleed.. well, it’s a bomb. the only thing it would bleed was gunpowder, and that’s only if it was some primitive-ass bomb’
… Coldfusion. I’m fairly certain this bombs pretty primitive if he still thinks that seppuku is “cool”.
I always thought seppuku is stabbing yourself in the stomach then slashing to the side.
HHP: I don’t think he finds it cool so much as he just doesn’t want to have to face Helen Hunt.
Marrow: After doing some reading, it looks like you’re right. I must have crossed my knowledge of samurai rituals with my knowledge of Zorro, AS USUAL.
Corrected!
You sneaky comic-editing-guy, now it’s more authentic, but we lose the precious idea that the bomb was trying to frame Zorro for his death.
Dammit! You’re right.
AlbinoNinja proceeded to comment “Dang.”
