Oh, you thought Creeper Mantis was gone because we haven’t heard from him in eight years? Well I guess SOMEONE doesn’t know how this place WORKS. So THANKS for checking it OUT.
(Also, this whole “drawing hands” business is for the birds and will not be explored further.)
The cops are unlikely to have helped anyway. Even in a surrealist comic. Especially in a surrealist comic, actually.
Have we seen the local cops yet?
That looks suspiciously like you just knocked over a toaster, which in fairness you could probably do anyway.
And it looks like we can add “fully modeled human anatomy” to the precariously stacked pile of art styles that is Mountain Time. Hey, if it works, it works.
I hope you’ll bring back more classic Mountain Time characters. I’m still hoping for Farouche Hexagon to get an arc to him/her/itself. Maybe the next strip can have that goose that got stuck in concrete that appeared like twice.
Actually I’m not sure if Farouche Hexagon counts as a classic Mountain Time character. I’m not fully up-to-date on the archives, he may appear more often than I suspected. I still want a hexagon-centered story arc though.
Look at that, a person with an entire outline! not just sticks! I’m so proud of you. Though I guess logically that means that in this universe, she’s really fat? Maybe from eating too much vertical toast? I totally want a horizontal toaster now.
I actually saved an image of creeper mantis because I thought he was really sweet just whispering nice things from people’s windowsills. I see he’s just kinda gotten lazy
GuesssWho: ESCCAB (Even Surrealist Cartoon Cops Are Bastards), am I right?
But yeah, the cops have shown up before. Here, for instance: http://mountaincomics.com/comic/mt845/
Circle: It’s the feet on the bottom that make it a true horizontal toaster rather than a knocked-over one.
According to my tags, Radcliffe St. Kitchen (that’s the hexagon) has appeared 6 times. That seems low to me, though. I must’ve forgotten to tag him a couple times.
Cold: If she’s really fat, what does that mean for guys like Haywood and Marvin who went from stick bodies to block bodies? Did their torsos suddenly plump up, but not their limbs?
As for the mantis, yeah, it’s half laziness and half getting cocky. That’s what gets serial killers caught, too.
Idea: Downward Toaster, with the feet on the same side as the slits. It’s perfect!
Let’s take it to Cuisinart. 50/50.
so… there’s a dali painting with a very mountain-timey title:
“Soft Construction With Boiled Beans From Premonition Of The Civil War”

Yeah, I taught him everything he knew.
