Sounds like a proper old timey sketch. If, you know, those old timey sketches had surreal narratives about devils and chick manget cabbages. Delightful!
The part I wonder about is if he was Mammon the whole time, pretending to be Paul’s otherwise nonexistent brother to get tips on how to pick up chicks and/or an excuse to take Paul’s most precious possession, or if the brother was originally there, but he was somehow replaced by Mammon by means of the dream and excessive greed for green (cabbage).
Paul knowing what a demon is dreaming about is easy to explain by him just assuming that “his brother” would dream of touching his cabbage immediately after being told not to, because that’s what little brothers do. Dream about your cabbages.
The brother probably now remains in the dream, having been supplanted in the waking world by Mammon. Perhaps as per Paul’s wish that the awakened one not be his brother.
Now whether it is better to remain in Celephais , beyond the wall of sleep, when once the dreamer has awakened, it can be a subject for debate, but there must be fertile fields therein to produce such cabbages.
Cabbage is really, really important. Not everyone knows that. I like how you can see Paul’s hair subtly turning into horns.

Cold: There’s a reason “spring roll” anagrams to “porn grills.” Or maybe there isn’t.
Siergiej: Who’s on first, What’s on second, I don’t know the street value of cabbage in the underworld but apparently it’s worth a bit.
Xin: I like Lying Rebel’s idea. Maybe the brother, greedily approaching the cabbage, made himself vulnerable to possession by Mammon.
Reb: See above. Also I think this whole thing may have accidentally become the Insidious franchise.
