I miss promotional cups. I thought they were pointless at the time, and I was right, but.. now that they’re gone..
you know what else I miss? taco bell dog talking plushes. we had like four of them. I don’t know where they went and that bothers me because I always keep tabs on my shit.
and remember when KFC had high quality promotional beanie baby pokémon? like in the same scale as other ones and everything.
There was always some vaguely unappetizing element on the cups, like a big ol’ ant (Honey I Shrunk ’em) or Danny DeVito as the Penguin, and it struck me as counterproductive, but you still got them.
I grew up in a bit of a KFC desert, so I don’t know about those.
KFCs have never been what i’d call COMMON anywhere I live.. but I do seem to recall when they cost “as much as fast food costs” instead of “twice as much as fast food costs”
I haven’t noticed KFC costing more than other fast food, but that’s probably because I’m a Popeyes guy through and through. Around here, it’s Carl’s Jr. or Burgerville that cost too much.
