I always assumed 3 as well. I think there was a depiction of her mind at some point that showed 3 bears.
Holy crap, I was just watching Nastenka and her precious braid about two days ago. Bizzarre coincidence, or proof of a massive conspiaracy? Are you spying on me? If so, please let me know what I’m up to, because I honestly have no idea…
And not to dwell on this TOO much, but would Nastenka’s love be enough to turn one of Donna’s personalities into a Russo-Finnish man, or would she have to go throught the whole little mushroom guy ordeal?

Cold & Maltor: There was a Donna t-shirt that had three bears around her, but I’m not sure if that means she has 3 or “numerous as hell” in an implied “1-2-many” counting system.
That Guy: Maybe she’s currently IN the little mushroom guy phase, and she needs to do a good deed for one of her personalities to become a Russo-Finn. Now I’ve got a lot to think about.
@That Guy: Sinister conspiracies, eh? Did you know that only about 10% of Americans are left handed, but the overwhelming majority of US Presidents and presidential candidates (including the unelected opponents of past presidents) are left handed. There ain’t no conspiracy more sinister than that on all of God’s green, red, yellow, turquoise, mauve, chartreuse, platinum, actinic, or paisley earth.
