UPDATE
It was just this afternoon (on Wednesday) that I realized it’s Derby season, so the Review will actually be a review, and not the preview it usually is.

He’s gonna feel a right pillock when he discovers starch exists. It just hasn’t been used in like 60 years.
Huh.. reverse learning path.. I think I have some of that! I’m a little worse at not sitting down every day.
Man, the last time I saw starch referenced—and I looked this up—was 2003.

I wonder whose photo Drummerlin is smoking.
I have a can on Faultless brand spray starch, actually. I’m pretty sure I’ve had this can, interestingly, since 2003 if not prior.
“a can of”, even. Wow, proofreading-proof I guess.
I love the passive aggression of naming your brand of anything “Faultless.” Like, we’re not saying the other brands are guilty of something, we’re just saying we’re innocent.
I recently received advertising from a restaurant calling themselves “Standard”. I interpret this as a pretty risky move–you want people to think: “This food is so good it’s the new standard!”, but you run the risk of people instead thinking: “Do I want food that’s merely standard, or excellent food instead?” and obviously choosing the latter.
bag: It seems Faultless now calls their product “ironing spray starch” because nobody knows what spray starch is for anymore.
Cold: I wonder how I’d do if I branded this place as Mountain Time: The Webcomic Site WITHOUT Malware.
Xin: The “standard” thing has always been funny to me, because I think of standard as the minimum bar to beat, but at the same time, you can’t go wrong with standard, right?
Incidentally, there’s a youtuber that goes into public restrooms and either thumbs-ups or thumbs-downs their flushing furnishings, and he doesn’t think highly of American Standard toilets and urinals.
(No luck finding his channel so far, but I’ll update if I find it.)
