TMTHB 74: The Terrible Pain of Eating Quality Condiments

Suggested wine pairing: a piña colada.
UPDATE
Due to time management excellence, Monday’s comic isn’t totally formatted yet. It’s pretty long and complicated, so I don’t want to rush it and screw up, yada yada…
This is going to be a rare Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday week. Historians, take note.
Now I’m wondering how much of this you had planned during the 2016 arc. Was the time travel island planned the whole time or did you come up with that as an explanation after the fact?
(I say this as someone who just revealed a big twist that I’d been planning for a while in my own comic. Turns out it’s hard to see the signs.)
Waaaaaaaiiiiiit a minute.
Is Luka actually that girl from “The Hill of Killers” ( http://mountaincomics.com/comic/the-hill-of-killers/ ) who liked to walk in and out of doors???
Oh yeahhhh the Lirus thing.. Gnar! You pulled it off! Not like a bandaid, but the good kind of pulling off. No not like that. Wait maybe like that.
Circle: I came up with Equatorial Antarctica in 2016 specifically for this. The original ending (as of the 500 Happening) was just the “spirit of Christmas” thing for that nice “underwhelming” effect, but then I got ambitious.
Torthos saying Taco looked old was supposed to be a hint. Quite an oblique one, of course, but now it’s been called out.
The fun question is: Can you spot the hints in the Hurly Burly about the next chapter? (Spoiler: Mountain Time isn’t ending.)
Xin: She is! See the comment section on this one: http://mountaincomics.com/comic/mt802/
Cold: And I did it so quickly, too!
Hints that are completely impossible to interpret until after the thing they’re hinting at has been revealed are the best hints. (I mean this completely sincerely.)
I love a movie that’s better on the second watch.
