MOUNTAIN TIME HURLY BURLY,
anyone?
Can you feel things heating up? I can’t, because here in Portland, temperatures are going to be lower through Thursday. But that may not be the case in New Lancaster!
Check back Tuesday and Thursday for more comics by a guy whose artwork was once used as a “soon to come” April Fool’s Day joke by a TTRPG website.
I’m gonna need more information on that April Fool’s Day thing.
Some info on that girl would be nice, too. Have we seen her before the Hurly Burly?
Circle: she was in a few comics, starting from mountaincomics.com/comic/mt903, I think. On a side note, I’ve discovered once again that it’s seriously difficult to track down specific Mountain Time comics from the archive!
Oh, and I would like to second the April Fool’s Day joke thing information request.
Back in ’09, I did a freelance editing gig for Silvervine Games, working on their player manual. The Silvervine guy was familiar with Mountain Time—he helped me get the site up and working, after all—and on April Fool’s, he put a joke on his site saying “this guy is going to be doing all our artwork from now on” with a link to Mountain Time 1.
Circle: NAR is right. She was in 903 and 904, and then in these Hurly Burly episodes.
NAR: Yeah, I really wish Oh No Robot still worked. Maybe one day I’ll display tag clouds or something.
(That could get spoilery, though. For instance, this girl’s tag is just a description of her role in this story.)
That’s a fantastic april fools gag. The thing about having a chicken leg for a head is you still have skin on the outside where you’d expect to have skin.
Yeah, I was highly amused. And I have to agree, it’s great to have skin where you expect skin to be. Unless you learned anatomy from the films of David Cronenberg, I guess.
