I take it that the time machine just happened to get destroyed so they couldn’t get back their own time… Oh, wait… (Cliche averted cap’n).
Apophenia doesn’t really work here unless you use the archives, like most things.
The lumber lawn, pillow cop, righteous violence, what more does one need? Or is there something more to life than saying “It’s bedtime for crime” every time you see one of your favourite upholders of liberty?

Totally looks like a TARDIS in the first couple of panels.
Gandalf: There are basically TWO things to life: 1) Saying “It’s bedtime for crime” whenever Pillow Cop shows up, and 2) admiring any adversary who responds so calmly to having a laser shot through his chest as the big lirus in panel 7. Honestly, I think I would be a little more alarmed.
Logan: The Time Machine doesn’t look like the TARDIS; the TARDIS looks like the Time Machine.
You know, now that the tables are getting turned, I suddenly find the liruses quite cute. Stop killing all of them goddammit!

He does look a bit docile… Perhaps it was all just a big misunderstanding? Like, REALLY BIG misunderstanding.
Klear: I bet the polio virus is pretty cute, if seen through a flattering microscope and in the right lighting, but I remain firmly anti-polio.
