This is what all our Monopoly games degrade to at our house. An existential conversation about the point of moving around the board making money and mugging the banker.

A thimble? Psh, everybody knows that the car was the best.
I’d guess the onion interpreted the thimble as a kind of armor, and therefore the most battle-relevant of the pieces he was offered.
But if that was true isto, wouldn’t he have chosen the cannon?
The cannon is good for distant but you can’t take down condors with it, they are too crafty. The thimble allows him to lull them into a false sense of security and then make gumbo out of them. mmmmmm gumbo…. neptunian methane beer is the best
Wait, what about the battleship? I mean, come on!
HHP: The hamster’s a pretty bright guy. He probably avoided letting the onion see the cannon, figuring it would turn out exactly like it did.
Dan: Condor gumbo? Fix me a bowl.
Albino: Yeah… but the set I was using for reference didn’t have a battleship. Also, I know it’s Atlantic City and all, but a battleship can’t be a very good way of getting around town.
