Say what you will about Family Circus, but this comic has had me speculating for over 7 years:
What does it mean?

Clearly that “Family Circus” is about the suffering that is caused by a corrupt government and wolves…Mostly the wolves.
Say what you like, I always laugh at Family Circus. Little kids are dumb sometimes and that’s very funny!
In this case, he’s saying “one of the coasters we made him for Fathers’ Day” and he’s proud it’s actually being used.
It stands to reason that goose-head-land has goose-headed giants with giant goose heads.
It means someone is about to get a beating.
I figured the parents were doing a trial separation, but still sharing a house to save money. Jeffy hates his dad and so sides with Thel, blowing a whistle every time dad touches anything Jeffy deems “property of Thel & Co.” as it were. Domestic territoriality, you know.
Unless Bil, the man of the house, is meant to represent The Man. He sits while Jeffy, playing the part of The Little Guy, must stand. Holding the newspaper, The Man controls media and information. At some unseen time, he offered The Little Guy a few amenities, such as coasters, but guess what — The Man takes it for himself anyway. And Jeffy ain’t surprised.
Obviously the family has taken in several boarders (probably clowns, what with it being a circus, and all), who have not only overstayed their welcome but failed to provide anything like a contribution to the household.
One is being kept in a box in the living room as punishment, and Daddy has placed a beverage on him.
It’s nice that yous till take time to draw comics now that you’re a billionaire!

Siphon: Yeah, well, you gotta have something to do when you’re not dining on panda steaks. Also, you get the Max Planck award for the 1900th comment.
Jeffy’s line in that Family Circus was caused by Rat from Pearls Before Swine infiltrating other comic strips and rewriting their dialog. So technically it means nothing! Nothing at all MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I’m not sure Billy understands what coasters are for…
I believe he’s implying that dad set his cup on something that’s not supposed to have things set upon it. Maybe?
